Electric Boat maintains an aggressive supplier diversity program to locate and utilize small disadvantaged businesses as an integral part of our procurement program.

It is Electric Boat’s policy to offer small disadvantaged businesses opportunities to compete on an equal basis with all other bidders and to assist in developing and strengthening these enterprises where possible. Although our small disadvantaged business program is administered by the Materials Management Department, all functional areas at Electric Boat including Engineering, Operations, Facilities and Support share the responsibility to make this program a success.

Anne-Marie Luce has worked for Electric Boat Corporation for 19 years. As a Purchasing Agent, Anne-Marie is responsible for solicitation of pricing and delivery from qualified sources for specialty mechanical and electrical items including noise quiet bearings/rod end precision bearings, staves, universal joints, gearboxes, springs,
gages, thermometers, chemicals, adhesives, paints, grit, and issuance of government MIL-STRIP orders. She reviews and approves purchase orders and provides guidance and training within her buying group. Anne-Marie has developed excellent relationships
with her current suppliers and continues to provide necessary assistance to any new suppliers wanting to do business with Electric Boat Corporation.
